Interviews:
To organise care with myself, please contact me using the numbers on the contact page. We will make a mutually suitable time for us to discuss your care needs. Please bring your child/ren along so they can meet me (and I can meet them) as well. If suitable, I will schedule interview times during day care hours so that the children in care can meet your child/ren. Once you have been offered a place in my day care, you have 24 hours to accept/decline before I move on to the next family. You will then need to enrol with the scheme office and set a date to begin care. If for some reason you can't make our appointment time, please phone or message me and let me know, there is nothing more disappointing then setting up all the paperwork and resources needed for an interview or changing our days plans to wait for someone who never shows up. The children in care are often excited to meet a new friend who might be coming to play.
Outings:
With parents/guardian permission we have a few planned outings.
Daily I drop off/pick up from Telarah Public School and at times Telarah Pre-School. The children love to see where the "big" children are - occasionally we are also invited into the classrooms to join in "read with me" sessions where the "big kids" spoil the little ones with lots of stories. We also spend time at afternoon assemblies - which is great for those who will be heading off to school the following year (if the children are a bit restless we will leave the assembly and spend a bit of time with some quiet activities)
Weekly; Fortnightly; Monthly - we have special outings to our scheme playgroup, other educators, walks around our local community or to visit our Nannies and Poppies at Mount Carmel Retirement Village. There are also special outings to Little Kickers or reptile shows, etc. These will be discussed in more details during our meeting.
Any child travelling within my car is placed in an age/height appropriate child restraint. Generally children under 2 years of age who are rear faced in their parents cars are also rear faced within my car unless that restraint is needed by a younger child. I practice extended rear facing and harnessing.
What do you need to bring to day care for your child:
Parent/Guardians provide all food/drinks for each child (a list of suitable food will be given to you at your interview)
2 complete changes of clothes, even if your child is toilet trained, play is sometimes very messy/wet or accidents do happen, extra underwear if toilet training, broad brimmed hat (available on enrolment and spares available at the scheme office for $10 each), warm clothes (during colder seasons) swimmers (optional - for water play or I can just change the child's own clothes when finished)
Bottles & formula
Any creams/powders that your child may need to use
Medications if required. These need to be labelled by a pharmacy with your child's details and dosage instructions.
What is provided for each child at Sunflower Kids
Nappies - either cloth (MCN) or disposable (unless your child has reactions to certain brands, then I ask that you supply your own to avoid this)

Sunscreen (if your child has allergies, please provide one that is safe for your child to use, labelled with your child's name)
